Structural reinforcements

Structural reinforcement building is implemented through the use of carbon-fiber tape, which provide additional reinforcement. The carbon-fiber tape is made of fibers of carbon embedded in resin. It is used to reinforce cracked structures made of reinforced concrete, concrete, wood or brick.

The use of carbon-fiber tape allows stabilization and reinforcement of the structure in case of:

  • Increased loads acting on the foundations (e.g., changing the uses of structures, expansion of production lines in industrial plants, increased payloads on bridges)
  • Damage to objects (e.g., corrosion, displacement of the foundation, fires, weathering, aging of elements)
  • Design changes to the structure (e.g., removal of walls, additional openings in walls or floor slabs)
  • Removal of design and execution flaws

Advantages of carbon-fiber tape:

  • high tensile strength and fatigue strength
  • high durability - resistance to corrosion, weather conditions
  • can be applied in layers, in any length
  • does not require the use of specialized equipment
  • low labor cost and short execution time
  • wide possibilities of application (concrete, steel, wood)

We strengthen the structure by additional external reinforcement in the form of carbon-fiber tapes or steel reinforcement.
